This past week was NY Photo Festival, May 14 - 18, based in the DUMBO area of Brooklyn / NYC, NY.
I wrote a post about NY Photo Festival 2008 elsewhere on nyc.locationscout.us.
DUMBO is beginning to look more like Soho than, well, DUMBO
Ever the location scout, I was pleased to discover a number of attractive event venues around Dumbo, many which, such as St. Ann’s Warehouse, were being used to present the photo exhibits associated with NY Photo Festival. Another event venue used by NY Photo Festival was Galapagos Art Space, but I was already familiar with that space.
I’ve parsed out my Flickr feed of a few snaps I shot with my trusty, rusty Leica D-Lux3 below…
- The carousel is new - at least to me… it’s very kewl - ANY carousel is kewl, no?
- I like the new mural(s) the graffiti artists were still hard at work on the one…
- …old standbys, the Manhattan Bridge and Fulton Ferry Landing…
