“I’m talking about the way that the Bay Area plays such a huge role in the film and almost becomes a personality,” he says. “The hills of San Francisco: The drama goes up and down and around those hills. Basically, it’s about trying to find out what’s on the other side of that hill, what’s hiding there, both literally and psychologically.”
