I have owned GPS equipment for some time for work as a film / photo location scout – however, it is only recently I have been really interested in “playing around” with the technology. I use photography extensively in my work so I am especially interested in geotagging photos and creating presentations that contain both visual and geospatial information.

Aardvark Map is a free solution to provide Google Maps-based maps possible to contain multiple annotated markers. this could be a useful tool for a location scout or location manager that needs to provide information to production as to where locations exist, possibly particularly with regard to proximation to one another with logistics in mind.

Here is a way to imbed your Flickr photos on your website using the Mapsack Flickr Widget, which could be useful for a location scout wishing to present locations to a client at the same time illustrating said locations’ geographic postion(s).
