Mark McKennon PBS-TV

I Received this press release today from Mark McKennon:

“Mark McKennon, freelance location scout and manager for film/TV/photo/commercial, joined Shannon Kennedy (video editor), Lawrence Brenner (web design), Jim Colucci (writer) and five other media freelancers at the 2/1 taping of a panel discussion at Freelancers Union offices in Brooklyn for the PBS show NOW, airing on Channel 13 (Thirteen/WNET New York) this Friday, 2/15 at 8:30 p.m. and repeating Sunday 2/17 at 11:00 p.m.

Freelancers Union invited us to share our thoughts and experiences as part of the rising tide of solo individuals who have greater value than ever to working America, but also greater vulnerability in economic downturns, in the form of unaffordable or limiting medical insurance, no unemployment benefits or emergency funds, tax liabilities, and other big and pertinent issues. Freelancers Union is helping to lead a campaign for political recognition and vital legislation in support of economic equality.

Join us at the roundtable — although the table was actually square” ;-)
